Scouts Bonfire by Stefan
The day started off at 10:00am in the morning. Everybody started arriving and we were all soon doing jobs. We were helping clean the churchyard before we lit the bonfires, so we helped by clearing all the leaves in the churchyard. Everybody was chatting whilst working, taking bags full of leaves to the compost heaps and putting some big sticks we found on the bonfires.
Then as quick as lightning it was now 11.45 am! It was time to burn the guys. We placed the guys on the bonfires and started to light them. Cheryl Cole fell a few times off the bonfire. We all stood there in excitement just watching our guy’s burn. Then we blinked and Cheryl Cole was gone, she was dust. We all agreed it must have been the hairspray she applied for the X Factor that day.
When all the guys had been burned to ashes, we all started to put more and more sticks on and keep the fire going. I think that it was a brilliant experience and had a really cool time.
